Part-Time Paid Work with the Hilltop Brigade
The Hilltop Brigade is a grassroots effort that has already recruited over 600 people from the 1st and 3rd congressional districts to work in Connecticut's 2nd, 4th, and 5th Congressional Districts to elect Democrats this fall. A part-time helper is needed immediately to maintain the volunteer database, support lead organizers, work with the web site team, and perform related support tasks as needed. The Hilltop Brigade is looking for a team player with high attention to detail, good follow-through, good spoken and e-mail communication skills, knowledge of Excel, and a commitment to defeat Republicans and retake congress! Connecticut Democratic Coordinated Campaign
The CT Coordinated Campaign is looking to hire a full-time student outreach coordinator through November 8, 2006 in order to implement a field plan on college campuses across Connecticut.
The Student Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for: Coordinating events, speakers and trainings in cooperation with member chapters; Serving as liaison between the College Democrats of Connecticut Executive Board, the CDCC, and College Democrats member chapters; Recruiting, hiring, training and managing field organizers at targeted schools.
Requirements: Progressive political experience, campus organizing experience and bachelor's degree preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with Connecticut background. 2006 graduates strongly encouraged to apply. Candidate must have access to a car.

Web Intern at Emily's List
The Web Intern plays a key role in the EMILY's List web team, which consists of the Web Manager and Web Assistant. The web team is charged with keeping the website fresh and up-to-date, sending weekly email appeals, and adapting fundraising concepts for the web and email.
The Web Intern assists with daily upkeep of the EMILY's List website and Team EMILY website, tracks web and email statistics and donations, writes copy for the Team EMILY and EMILY's List sites, and edits photos and video for the sites.
Strong writing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Photoshop. Knowledge of HTML and content management a plus. Apply by Monday, August 28th at https://www.emilyslist.org/internships/.
Ned Lamont for US Senate
Ned Lamont, Democratic nominee for US Senate, is looking for volunteers. Gain political experience on one of the most highly-watched races in the country. Ned's remarkable upset primary victory on August 8th landed him in the national spotlight, now you can help in the push to November.

Responsibilities will included voter outreach, volunteer recruitment, training, administrative duties, staffing events and working with local activists to build a network of support. We the People, Inc. Field Organizer
We the People, Inc. is a progressive, non-profit organization dedicated to educating citizens about issues vital to their communities. We the People, Inc. is currently seeking to hire experienced field organizers who will utilize a combination of traditional grassroots organizing tactics and an innovateive, issues-oriented education program to achieve the program's objectives. Organizers will be asked to live in the district they are assigned to, and to travel within that district as needed.

Dan Malloy for Governor (CT) - Updated Listing
The Dan Malloy for Governor Campaign is looking for bright, motivated, and energetic college students for paid internships on the campaign. They are looking for paid canvassers to work for 10 weeks starting as early as mid-May, pay $2,000. The campaign is also accepting applications for the following specific internships: Field, Communications, Advance, Information Systems, Fundraising, Volunteer Coordinator and Policy Research.

Truman National Security Project
Growing Democratic national security organization is looking for self-starters excited about building a strong security platform based in Democratic values. The internship offers opportunities to take part in events on Capitol Hill and in monthly foreign policy discussions with next generation and leading Democrats working in foreign policy. Nevada State Democratic Party
Summer interns are needed to work on the research staff for the Nevada State Democratic Party in Las Vegas. This group is setting up offices in three congressional districts the 2nd, 4th and 5th to do progressive issue based political work thru the fall campaigns. They are concentrating on economic stability and health care. They are hiring a director, 2 community organizers and a communications person for each office. the offices are going to be based in Bridgeport, Waterbury and Enfield. Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. Hiring Field Organizers
Grassroots Campaigns Inc. is a progressive political organization that specializes in running campaigns for progressive causes and candidates. They have worked with MoveOn.Org, the DNC, Environmental Action, Working America and Amnesty International. They are currently hiring graduating seniors for two different positions in offices all over the country. Students for a New American Politics PAC will send students from campuses across the country to work as full time grassroots organizers on progressive congressional campaigns in summer 2006. By providing candidates with fully trained, enthusiastic, and cost-free organizers, we will help provide the margin of victory in tight races. And by placing talented students in positions of responsibility within key campaigns, we will train and inspire the next generation of political activists.
Students for a New American Politics PAC is dedicated to providing scholarships for students who want to work on progressive campaigns for the summer, giving priority to students who have demonstrated financial need. All of the students that SNAP PAC supports are students who would not be able to participate fully in progressive campaigns were it not for receiving a summer scholarship.

Interns needed at People For the American
Internships in the Field Department of People For the American Way provide students a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive insight into the political process and inner workings of the field operations of a premier national organization. Most internships are unpaid, but we are happy to work with students to arrange academic credit. Part time internships are available.
Conduct research and advance work for PFAW and People For the American Way Foundation campaigns and projects. Produce fliers and brochures for events and conferences. Draft action alerts and sample letters to the editors. Participate in local and national coalition meetings. Help to organize and staff hearings, rallies and other events. Assist with PFAW/F’s electoral programs. Help maintain daily operations of the department. Other duties as assigned.
