Bulldog Democrats PAC -- Help Kick Ass!
Part of what makes us an active force on campus is our ability to organize activities and events for Yale Democrats. Of course, like everything else in politics, doing this takes money. If you're interested in helping us remain in top fighting shape, please show your support with a small monetary contribution to our organization.
If you choose to make a contribution, it will be put towards continuing our current success and building our organization for the future:
- Electing Democrats. From sending our members to campaign in swing states during the presidential election to campaigning for Democrats to New Haven’s Board of Aldermen, Yale Democrats run the campaigns that put Democrats in office.
- Organizing lobbying events. We regularly organize lobbying trips for members, giving them the opportunity to meet with elected officials on the causes that matter to Democrats. In the spring of 2005, our lobbying efforts helped persuade legislators in Hartford to pass Clean Elections and Civil Unions legislation.
- Arranging social events on campus. As the old saying goes, the party that plays together stays together! The Yale Dems frequently arrange social events for members, including trips to Democratic conventions, membership dinners, and even the occasional night at Mory's. We make sure that Democrats at Yale don't just help change the world, but that they have fun doing it!
- Bringing leading Democrats to Yale. We work hard to introduce our Democratic leaders of tomorrow to the leaders of today. In the past, members have had the opportunity to meet such Democratic luminaries as Gov. Howard Dean (D-VT), Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), Sen. John Edwards (D-NC), and President Bill Clinton, as well as many of New Haven's and Connecticut's key Democratic leaders.
