The YPU will meet this Tuesday night to debate the topic "Resolved: Government policy should not be color-blind." The guest speaker will be Al Sharpton, the well-known, oratorically gifted, controversial civil rights leader and former presidential candidate. The debate is cosponsored by the Black Student Alliance at Yale (BSAY) and the Yale College Council (YCC).

If you're looking for an easy way to help out Democratic candidates this fall, then sign up for phonebanking on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday night. Spend just a few hours talking with voters and encouraging them to get out to vote for Congressional candidates Diane Farrell and Joe Courtney and gubernatorial candidate John DeStefano.
