The 4th Annual Northeast Climate Conference will be held at Yale from Friday to Sunday, April 7-9, 2006. Hundreds of student leaders and young professionals from across the Northeast US and Canada will leave with the knowledge, skills, and connections to be a part of growing youth climate and clean energy movement. Monday, February 6, 2006 - Dems Meeting: The Earned Income Tax Credit

If you don't know much (or anything) about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and how it can help Connecticut's working families, come to tonight's meeting to learn about this important anti-poverty program. We'll be joined by Ellen Scalettar from Connecticut Voices for Children, an advocacy group that is based right here in New Haven and is working on getting a statewide EITC bill passed this legislative session. Join the fight to end poverty by joining the campaign to bring the EITC to Connecticut!

Monday, February 6 -- 7 p.m. -- City Hall (165 Church Street).

Mayor John DeStefano Jr. will be giving his State of the City address tonight in the Aldermanic Chambers of City Hall, 165 Church Street, second floor. The State of the City address is an excellent opportunity to hear the Mayor present his Administration's goals for 2006 and to review what has been achieved over the years. Please come and support the City and its bright future.

If you're looking for ways to get more involved with the Dems this semester, join one of the committees and help pass a state Earned Income Tax Credit (State Lobbying), bring clean elections to New Haven (Local Lobbying), do voter registration and raise political awareness in local schools (School Outreach Committee), or create a College Dems platform (Issues Platform Committee).
