Via stalwart Dem Scott Caplan, it turns out that Congressman John Conyers (D-MI) has a blog. Conyers is an incredibly experienced legislator (in 2004 he was elected to his nineteenth term in Congress!), so this should be a great source of information and commentary from an inside-the-beltway perspective. This should be especially true when it comes to election reform, a topic on which Conyers has become an expert since 2000.
Check it out.

What better way to express your displeasure with the political leanings of arguably the greatest chess player in history than by hitting him over the head with a chessboard?
Garry Kasparov, the world's former No. 1 chess player who quit the professional game last month to focus on politics, said he had been hit over the head with a chessboard in a politically motivated attack.
If an AP story has ever begun with a more absurd sentence, we haven't seen it.

"That's Secretary Nate, Pal."
Congratulations are in order for our very own beloved treasurer, Nathan Kilbert! This past Saturday, he was elected as Secretary of the Connecticut College Democrats Executive Board! Why not take a moment to go to his very own blog and congratulate him?
Don't forget the little people, Nate.
