Friday, December 8, 2006 - Yale Political Science Department Presents the Connecticut 2006 Senate Race Conference
Friday, December 8th -- 12:45 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. -- The Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center Auditorium.
The Senate race is over. Lamont won the primary. Lieberman won the general, and now representatives from both their campaigns and from Republican Alan Schlesinger's will come together to discuss their decisions and strategies. A second panel will include local and national experts to discuss the campaign and debate its implications. This event is sponsored in part by the Block Foundation Fund and is open to the public.

Recent event on campus--including the anonymous mass-postering of Islamophoic posters in November, the Record's blue book parody, the anonymous NOGAYs email, and last spring's Herald/Rumpus articles--call for a serious need for dialogue and for the reevaluation of our campus culture. To address these concerns the YCC, Muslim Students Association, Coalition for Campus Unity, Queer Political Action Committee, International Students Organization, LGBT Co-Op invite you to join them for an "Open Forum on Hate Speech" on Tuesday, December 5, from 7-8 p.m. Come engage in constructive dialogue and help Yale hold true to its principles of diversity and tolerance.

Elections for the Executive Board of 2007 will be held next Monday, December 11 at 8:00 pm in the Branford Common Room. If you are considering running for a position on the E-board, come to tonight's meeting to hear from current E-board members and ask any questions you may have.
