Tuesday, September 26th -- 8:15 p.m. -- Saybrook Common Room.
If you want to get more involved with the Dems now and once elections are over, come to the first Issues Platform Committee meeting of the year. If you're looking for an easy way to help out Democratic candidates this fall, then sign up for phonebanking on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday night. Spend just a few hours talking with voters and encouraging them to get out to vote for US Senate candidate Ned Lamont and Congressional candidates Diane Farrell and Joe Courtney. We will be phonebanking on Tuesday for Lamont, Wednesday for Farrell, and Thursday for Courtney, and you can sign up for as many nights as you want. E-mail eric.kafka@yale.edu to sign up.
Monday, September 25th -- 8 p.m. -- Branford Common Room.
If you haven't been able to make it to Wednesday night voter registration on Old Campus, here is your chance to get involved. There will be a brief training session at our regular meeting place, and then everyone will head out to Old Campus, Swing Space, and Timothy Dwight College to register voters. Not only will you be helping Democratic candidates by increasing turnout on election day, but you'll gain some great experience too. We hope to see you there!
Show your Democratic Party pride by wearing an official Yale College Dems t-shirt! The shirts feature the Yale College Democrats logo on the front and the saying "Have you ever heard of a nice piece of elephant?" on the back. They're only $15, so order yours before they're all gone by e-mailing benjamin.shaffer@yale.edu.
