The Queer Political Action Committee (QPAC) is working on a petition to add gender identity and gender expression to Yale's non-discrimination policy. The current policy fails to protect transgender students, faculty, and staff from discrimination. Author of the highly-influential What’s the Matter with Kansas?, Tom Frank has become in recent years one of the most recognized and respected observers of American politics and society. A journalist and a historian, Frank has written a number of other books, including One Market Under God and The Conquest of Cool. His articles have appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New York Review of Books, Harper’s and The Nation. Frank is currently editor of The Baffler. Mr. Frank will be delivering a public lecture “The Populism of the Right” on April 3 at 7:30 pm in LC 211.
