California Republican Congressman Duke Cunningham resigned from office Nov. 28th, after pleading guilty to one of the most massive bribery scandals in Congressional history; for years Cunningham had systematically accepted bribes totaling over $1.8 million. He's now serving 8 years in a federal penitentiary. A special election to fill his seat is scheduled for April 11th -- three weeks from now!
