Election Day is November 8, which is only 8 days away! Instead of our regular weekly meeting, the Dems will be canvassing for Rebecca on Wednesday night. If you can make it, e-mail helena.herring@yale.edu.
An upcoming project of the Dems Lobbying Task Force is the campaign for the Earned-Income Tax Credit. Otherwise known as the EITC, it is an important tax break for working families. Over the next few weeks, we are going to need help in two areas: coalition-building and research. These areas are crucial, and the work we do now will pay off in a big way once we start gearing up for the next legislative session. For more information on the research side, e-mail scott.caplan@yale.edu. For info on coalition-building, e-mail cynthia.okechukwu@yale.edu.
If you've been thinking about getting involved with Rebecca's campaign for Ward 1 Alderwoman, now is the time to do it! The canvassing schedule is below. If you would like to help out, e-mail helena.herring@yale.edu with the days you will be available.
