Does residential segregation exist? Why does it exist? Is that a problem? Why should we care? What can we do? Get answers to these questions and more Thursday night's DreamPioneers meeting. There will be a video clip on the causes and outcomes of racially and economically isolated neighborhoods, followed by a discussion of DP-Yale's advocacy, internship and education programs and how you can get involved in the effort to help fight residential segregation in New Haven. Students for Clean Elections and the Yale College Democrats are cosponsoring a bus to Hartford for the kickoff of the Special Session to pass comprehensive campaign finance reform with public financing of all state elections. The bus will leave at 9 a.m. from Phelps Gate and will return at 1 p.m. We will be lobbying our legislators, holding a press conference, and showing our support for truly historic reform in Connecticut.
